JAYJ Foundation’s Board of Directors and the 2019 Valentine’s Soirée Committee Members would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to all who attended and supported the inaugural JAYJ Foundation “An Intimate Valentine’s Soirée” fundraising event on February 16th, 2019. We are grateful for the generosity of our guests, volunteers and local businesses for making this event a success.
We were delighted to honor Dr. Ofelia Alvarez, Director of the Pediatrics Sickle Cell Program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, with our very first JAYJ Foundation Trailblazer Award for her unwavering dedication, fortitude, and love in ensuring that Sickle Cell Disease children around the globe live a normal and productive life.
But the real heroes of the night were all of YOU who attended in support of women and children who are less fortunate and in dire need of basic items in their daily lives. Words can't express the appreciation we all have for your willingness to share your time and money to help this Foundation to fulfill its mission. We extend our gratitude to our inaugural event sponsors, William G. Skaff Center Hall at Mary Immaculate Church, Tito’s Vodka, JP Auto Repair and CREATIV Magazine; our generous donors, Jim and Deborah Stroscheim, Allen Falk, P.A. and The Backer Family. Special thanks to our talented performer, Mrs. Liliana Bernal; our amazing hosts, Tania Rogers and Tim Byrd; our photographers, Jennifer Walker and Lois Spatz of LS Photos; our Chefs, Alex Bernard and Andrelle Aubourg; DJ Nicky Mix and the 2019 Valentine's Soirée Committee. We are truly grateful to you ALL!
We will continue to build on this year's successes and look forward to seeing you all at our 2nd Annual JAYJ Foundation "An Intimate Valentine's Soirée" event on Saturday, February 8, 2020 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Thank you again for your generosity and commitment to JAYJ Foundation for Women and Children!

This evening of fun, food and inspiration was created by many individuals who planned, decorated, prepared food, and joined to perform to entertain us. While the night was full of highlights, Kimberly's performance of her powerful and poignant Sickle Cell poem was unforgettable and mesmerizing. Kimberly detailed her ordeals as a Sickle Cell patient dealing with frequent Sickle Cell crisis episodes and hospitalizations. There was not a dry-eye in the room after this amazing performance.
Kimberly's poem was also featured in the February 2019 Issue of CREATIV Magazine. Check it Out at online at www.creativmag.com.
